Theory Leadership + Wellness was born out of the desire to support individuals and organizations to grow and explore within the realm of leadership + wellness. We are seasoned and dynamic professionals who know the value and power of good leadership and equally the importance of bringing wellness practices into one's daily life.
As Theory Leadership + Wellness' founders, we, Alexandra and Katie, first met when Alexandra, a seasoned strategist, communicator and leadership coach, embarked on 200-hour yoga teacher training at Katie's yoga and meditation studio. A friendship unfolded, and over time we recognized the need for and power of, uniting leadership + wellness.
With diverse business and entrepreneurial backgrounds ourselves, we see firsthand the benefit of individuals and organizations incorporating simple tools for leadership + wellness. We believe that individuals, and in turn workplaces and organizations, are most successful when individuals are self-aware and balanced.
I work along the continuum of leadership, communication and wellness. A global career spent developing strategy and communications for a range of multi-national and boutique companies eventually led me to the leadership and wellness space, where I work with individuals and organizations to embrace, enhance and embed leadership and wellness. I firmly believe that both individuals, and the organizations they serve, are most successful when they are self-aware and balanced.
I am a lover of the great outdoors, travel and adventure. I am a mom, a budding sailor, a decent cook, an avid traveller, and a fan of architecture and design.

I believe in addressing wellness from a holistic perspective: socio-emotionally, intellectually, physically, and energetically. Our thoughts affect our emotions, which affects our bodies, our actions, and our lives.
As a child, my mother taught me to meditate and the power of breath, which has inspired my life work. Since I was 18, I had the vision of creating a space where families and people of all ages could connect through the arts, movement, spirituality, and wellness. This eventually led to owning and operating (until recently) Studio 202, a centre for yoga, meditation and wellness for all ages. Prior to Studio 202, I pursued a career in finance, operations, and learning and development. My aim and passion is to inspire and bring greater balance, peace and joy to one's life and work.
I am passionate about learning, reading, music, travel, many creative endeavours, and being athletic outdoors - skiing, swimming, running, hiking, climbing, biking and more! I am a mom, and love spending time with my family and friends.
